Final Fantasy XIV Online Go!
To boost fan engagement across social, video game publishers Square Enix wanted to play an April Fool's prank on their loyal Final Fantasy XIV audience.
So I worked with Ichi to create a launch trailer for a brand new and entirely fake Final Fantasy mobile game. Inspired by Pokemon Go, 'FINAL FANTASY XIV Online GO!' allowed players to experience the thrill of 'gathering' in the real world. Or to put it another way, it allowed them to experience the thrill of going outside and smashing their phones against a tree.
